The teachings and commandments of the Holy Quran are very comprehensive and fulfill all needs to wisdom.
The Quran says in Verse 24 of Surah Muhammad:” Will they not then contemplate on the Quran?”
Contemplating on the Quran is for all. Everyone should reflect on it in order to benefit from it.
If a Quran interpreter realized all the teachings of the Quran, the Holy Book did not order us to contemplate. It shows that if I reflect on the Quran, I would also gain something.
Unfortunately, we Muslims have gotten distanced from the Quran. If we all read this verse every day and acted upon it, the colonial powers would have no way to dominate us: “Believers, do not consider the Jews and Christians as your intimate friends for they are only friends with each other. Whoever does so will be considered as one of them. God does not guide the unjust people.” (Verse 51 of Surah Al-Ma’idah)
If the armed forces read this verse every day, they would never accept the dominance of foreign counselors: “Believers, do not take intimates with other than your own. They spare nothing to ruin you, they yearn for you to suffer.” (Verse 118 of Surah Al Imran)
If the Islamic Ummah acted upon Verse 275 of Surah Al-Baqarah that considers Riba to be absolutely forbidden, the economy of the Islamic society would become just: “Those who consume usury shall not rise up (from their tomb) except as he who rises in madness that satan has touched. That is because they say: 'Selling is like usury. ' Allah has permitted trading and forbidden usury. To whomsoever an exhortation comes from his Lord then he desists, he shall have his past gains, and his matter is with Allah. But whoever reverts shall be among the people of the Fire and shall remain in it for ever.”
And if all Muslim countries adjusted their military policy based on Verse 9 of Surah Al-Hujurat, the Muslim world would have the dignity it deserves: “If two parties among the believers start to fight against each other, restore peace among them. If one party rebels against the other, fight against the rebellious one until he surrenders to the command of God. When he does so, restore peace among them with justice and equality; God loves those who maintain justice.”
We will have to explain for our negligence on the Day of Judgment, when the Holy prophet complains: “The Messengers will say, ‘Lord, my people had abandoned this Quran.’” (Verse 30 of Surah Al-Furqan)
